Dr Shiranthi Atapattu – Spinal Clinician & GP

Dr Atapattu graduated from the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 1998. She then worked at Durdan’s Private Hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka in the Medical, Paediatric and Obstetric wards and assisted complex surgeries in theatre for 18 months. She then moved on to Apollo Hospitals (International) Colombo where she trained in Intensive and Coronary Care and worked for 10 years.
In 2010 she completed her Diploma in Family Medicine at the Post Graduate Institute of Medicine at the University of Colombo and her membership in the Royal College of General Practitioners UK as an International Member.
She moved to Adelaide in September 2011 to pursue her career as a full time GP at UniHealth GP super clinic run by the University of Adelaide where she was involved in teaching and training medical students for more than 10 years.
She was fellowed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2014.
