Dr Siang Naik – Spinal Rehabilitation Physician

MBBS BMedSc FAFRM (RACP)

“It’s a privilege to be a part of a patient’s recovery journey”

Dr Siang Naik is a specialist Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Physician at The International Spine Centre®. She treats patients with spinal cord injury as well as people with other complex needs and impairments.

Dr Naik joined The International Spine Centre® after recognising the needs of a small population of patients who are left with long-term impairments who require much more support. She believes that the input of an inter- and multidisciplinary team contributes to better outcomes for patients with complex needs.

Dr Naik was born in Malaysia and completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Medical Science (Hons) at The University of Melbourne. She then undertook her seven-year specialist training as a Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Physician at Nepean Hospital, NSW before relocating to Adelaide in 2014.

In addition to her work at The International Spine Centre®, Dr Naik also works as an Ambulatory Rehabilitation Consultant at the Central Adelaide Rehabilitation Service (CARS), Queen Elizabeth Hospital and as a Spasticity Management Clinic Rehabilitation Consultant at the South Australian Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service, Hampstead Centre.
